I saw the pictures of yesterday's protest against in Great Barrington
against the district attorney and I want to say: Enough! The man is doing
his job and enforcing the law. If you don't like the law write your
representatives and senators and go to Boston and protest.
When teens from Pittsfield got sent to jail for the mandatory sentence, no
one protested. Selling drugs is illegal. Everyone knows it is illegal. If
you decide to engage in an illegal activity and get caught, jail is what
happens to you. Here's another thought, maybe if the protesters had spent
as much time being involved in the kids lives before they were arrested for
selling drugs as they have protesting, they never would have gone out and
sold drugs. But then again it is easier for everyone involved to just
blame the system than to have the kids or parents actually accept any
personal responsibility for their actions.
